Taylor Swift reveals exactly what she spent her Eras Tour fortune on after giving work crew $197,000,000 bonuses

Taylor Swift thanked her fans for the success of her most recent tour and let slip what she ended up spending all the money on.

Taylor Swift is one of the most popular artists of the modern era and with this comes a whole lot of success that translates into dollars.

In fact, her worldwide Eras tour ended up breaking numerous records as ticket sales grossed an impressive $2 billion after all the dollars and cents were counted, following 149 shows spanning across 21 countries.

A documentary by Disney+, Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour | The End of an Era, shows much of the behind the scenes stuff with the star, all her staff and how Swift ended up thanking those that worked on the tour with a massive fortune.

During the doc, it showed that Swift would be giving the crew significant bonuses at the end of each leg of the tour for their work – this would conclude in an estimated $197 million in bonuses.

She said: “Bonus day is so important because setting a precedent with the Eras Tour is really important to me because people who work on the road, if the tour grosses more, they get more of a bonus, and these people just work so hard, and they are the best at what they do,”

Speaking about her success, Swift recently appeared on the Late Show with Stephen Colbert and thanked her fans for all of her support.

Noting how good 2025 has been for her she said: “Getting engaged to the love of my life, getting all my music back, those were two things that just could have never happened.

“They could have just never happened, it wasn’t like it was just a matter of time. Both those things, could have just never arrived in my life.

“I am so grateful for both of those things happening and my fans are why I was able to get my music back, that is how I spent that Eras tour money, so…”

The crowd then burst into loud applause for the singer.

The exact figure that Swift paid to get her masters back from Shamrock Capital has been a hot topic this year with many figures floating around.

Rumors alleged that the amount Swift had paid was between $600 million and $1 billion; however, other reports from publications like The Guardian have said that these figures are inaccurate.

According to Billboard, Shamrock was initially sold the rights for around $360 million and had reportedly sold it to Swift for close to what they’d originally paid for it.

Either way, it has made for a pretty good year for Swift, all the same.
