Donald Trump finally addresses Epstein photo release in brief comment

Trump Responds to Newly Released Epstein Photos

US President Donald Trump has broken his silence after unseen photos from Jeffrey Epstein’s estate surfaced Friday. The images quickly spread online and reignited scrutiny.

High-Profile Faces Appear

So far, two batches of photos have been released. They feature several well-known figures, including Trump, former President Bill Clinton, Woody Allen, and Virgin founder Richard Branson.

Meanwhile, Democrats on the House Oversight Committee released the images ahead of a key deadline. Next week, the Department of Justice must publish the full Epstein files.

Questioned in the Oval Office

Shortly after the photos became public, reporters questioned Trump in the Oval Office. He offered a brief and direct response.

“He has photos with everybody,” Trump said. He appeared unfazed. “Hundreds and hundreds of people have photos with him. That’s no big deal. I know nothing about it.”

Repeated Denials, Renewed Focus

For months, Trump has denied any involvement with Epstein. He has also sidestepped similar questions during White House press briefings.

However, during the 2024 campaign, he promised to release the Epstein files in full. Congress later voted to do just that.

DOJ Reversals and Congressional Action

At first, the Justice Department remained vague about what the files contained. Officials suggested more details would follow. Later, the DOJ reversed course and said nothing would be released—only to revoke that decision again.

Last month, Congress voted overwhelmingly to release the files. Just one House member opposed the motion. Trump then signed the bill into law.

As a result, the documents are now set for release next week, though in redacted form.

No Allegations Against Trump

Although photos show Trump with Epstein, he has consistently denied wrongdoing. Importantly, no authority has accused or investigated him in connection with Epstein’s crimes.

Being photographed with Epstein, on its own, does not imply misconduct.
