The Oscar-winning actress, 58, and the country star, 57, have ended their marriage. A source said to PEOPLE , “Nicole’s sister, Antonia, has been her rock, and the entire Kidman family has rallied together to support one another during this time.”
“She didn’t want this,” the source added. “She has been fighting to save the marriage.”

TMZ first broke the news of the split, reporting that Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban have been living separately since early summer. In July, Kidman, 58, had officially applied for residency in Portugal, sparking buzz that she may be spending far more time abroad, possibly without husband Keith Urban by her side. According to Portuguese news outlet SIC Notícias, Kidman submitted her visa paperwork to the country’s Agency for Integration, Migration and Asylum in July. She was spotted stepping off a private jet in Cascais, an affluent seaside town outside Lisbon that’s long been favored by international elites.
The couple, who wed in June 2006, share two daughters — Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14. Kidman was previously married to actor Tom Cruise. Recently, she wrapped filming Practical Magic 2 in London and, on Aug. 19, posted “summer memories” on Instagram featuring time with her daughters and extended family. Meanwhile, Urban has been on the road touring, with his next scheduled performance set for Thursday, Oct. 2, in Hershey, Pennsylvania.
