Mark Epstein Makes New Claim About Trump’s Sudden Push to Release Files
Jeffrey Epstein’s brother is making headlines again. This time, Mark Epstein claims he knows why President Donald Trump abruptly changed his stance on releasing documents related to his disgraced brother. He argues there’s a specific motive behind Trump’s surprising U-turn.
Mark Epstein Back in the Spotlight
Mark Epstein has dominated the news recently, largely because of a controversial leaked email involving his late brother, Trump, and former President Bill Clinton. Although he has tried to distance himself from those claims—and has shown visible frustration—he remains firmly in the middle of the discussion.
The U.S. government is finally preparing to release the long-awaited Epstein files. Many hope the documents will offer clarity and bring some closure for victims. However, Mark Epstein believes the situation is far more complicated.
Mark Epstein Claims Files Are Being “Sanitized”
According to him, the files are being scrubbed to protect certain individuals. He insists names are being removed before the documents become public.
Photographs over the years have shown Trump and Jeffrey Epstein together, fueling speculation and public interest.

Why Did Trump Reverse Course?
Not long ago, Trump and his allies dismissed calls to release the files. They labeled the effort a “hoax” and a “distraction” from government business.
Now, Trump wants the documents out—and Mark Epstein believes the sudden shift is suspicious. He argues that the intentions behind the release are not as transparent as they appear.
“They’re Sanitizing These Files”
Speaking to NewsNation, Mark Epstein claimed:
“I’ve been recently told the reason they’re going to be releasing these things, and the reason for the flip is that they’re sanitizing these files.”
He also alleged that FBI Director Kash Patel is involved, saying he heard from a reliable source that a facility in Winchester, Virginia, is “scrubbing the files to take Republican names out.”
No Evidence Beyond His Word
His claims remain unverified. There is no proof beyond Mark Epstein’s statements. Still, allegations about Jeffrey Epstein’s connections—including those involving Trump—continue to surface.
Mark previously said his brother had “dirt” on Trump, though he never learned what it was.
“He didn’t tell me what he knew, but Jeffrey definitely had dirt on Trump,” he said.
“You could see in the emails. Trump can deny it all he wants, but it’s pretty clear everything he says is a lie.”
Trump maintains he never had a close friendship with Jeffrey Epstein, who died in prison in 2019.
