Orlando Bloom is facing backlash after sharing a beach photo of his four-year-old daughter that many online called inappropriate. The picture showed him carrying his daughter toward the ocean during their vacation. Some people said it crossed a line since the child was not fully dressed.
He shares his daughter Daisy with his former fiancée Katy Perry, and the pair split earlier this year. The two first met at an awards show in 2016 and welcomed Daisy in 2020. Bloom looked like a proud dad in the photo, but critics quickly called him out for not protecting his child’s privacy.

Before the edit, the image didn’t include a yellow heart emoji over the girl’s body. After the negative reaction, Bloom replaced it with one. On Reddit, a user said: “Some parents are such idiots. They don’t post this child’s face on social media, so they do understand privacy, but then post a naked pic. Make it make sense.”
Not everyone agreed, though. Some said people were reading too much into it and turning something innocent into something inappropriate.
One person commented: “I used to run around naked, and a lot of the kids I grew up with did also. It’s innocent and the fact that people are trying to make it weird ARE WEIRD AF.” Another added that childhood photos often showed kids playing without clothes and no one thought twice about it.

Bloom and Perry have generally kept their daughter’s identity private, avoiding any photos showing her face. This controversy came shortly after Bloom joked in an interview that he was dating a world leader.
Around the same time, Perry was spotted dining in Montreal with former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. A source told a news outlet it didn’t seem serious, even though they looked close.
