Why Adam Sandler sends Jennifer Aniston flowers on the same day every year

The connection Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston share on-screen is just as real, if not more genuine off-screen.

Met when they were 14

Jennifer Aniston and Adam Sandler’s friendship goes way back — over 20 years before they teamed up for 2011’s Just Go With It.

“We were, like, 14,” Aniston recalled on Jimmy Kimmel Live, exaggerating only a little, when they first crossed paths in Los Angeles.

At the time, Jennifer was dating one of Sandler’s friends (who remains nameless), but that didn’t stop a bond from forming over the complimentary pickles at Jerry’s Deli — a friendship that has lasted decades.

“I love her,” Sandler, 59, once told E! News at the premiere of Murder Mystery 2.

“She’s solid as a rock, she’s in great shape, she’s funny, she’s cool. She let’s me do her hair…Ever since ‘the Rachel,’ I took over, I fluff it up just right.”

Still, Aniston, 56, told E! moments earlier that her longtime friend “likes to create rumors that aren’t true, just for fun.”

Same day every year

In a recent interview with WSJ Magazine, Aniston revealed the incredibly sweet way her friend of 20 plus years and his wife honor her every Mother’s Day.

The surprising fact comes months after The Morning Show star opened up about her struggle with infertility.

In the profile, the writer, Ellen Gamerman, mentioned how Aniston and Sandler recently played husband and wife in Netflix’s Murder Mystery 2. Gamerman commented on the actors’ longtime friendship – they’ve been friends for more than 20 years.

“Aniston, who does not have children and has spoken openly about her struggles with fertility treatment, says Sandler and his wife [Jackie Sandler] send her flowers every Mother’s Day,” Gamerman wrote.

Neither expanded.

In November 2022, Aniston revealed years of struggling with infertility.

“I’d gone through really hard sh*t, and if it wasn’t for going through that, I would’ve never become who I was meant to be,” she told Allure“I was trying to get pregnant.”

Aniston added how while everyone speculated whether she was pregnant, she was actually struggling.

“It was really hard,” she said. “I was going through IVF, drinking Chinese teas, you name it. I was throwing everything at it. I would’ve given anything if someone had said to me, ‘Freeze your eggs. Do yourself a favor.’ You just don’t think it. So here I am today. The ship has sailed.”

She described her late 30s and 40s as a “challenging road,” but it was one she had “zero regrets.”

“I actually feel a little relief now because there is no more, ‘Can I? Maybe. Maybe. Maybe,’” she said. “I don’t have to think about that anymore.

The friendship between Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston is one we should all strive to have.
