They appeared without hesitation, and that caught my attention immediately. Two deer stepped out from the woods while I was spreading hay. Their calmness surprised me. Usually, deer freeze or bolt at the slightest sound, yet these two simply observed.

The larger one lingered in the shadows, cautious but steady. The smaller deer fixed its gaze on me, its eyes carrying an almost knowing expression—as if it had a message.
