Arthur Jones (1986–2025) was an American professional football player who played as a defensive tackle in the NFL. Born on June 3, 1986, in Rochester, New York, Jones excelled as an athlete from an early age, eventually playing college football at Syracuse University. At Syracuse, he became known for his strength and versatility on the defensive line, which set the stage for his professional career.

Jones was selected by the Baltimore Ravens in the fifth round of the 2010 NFL Draft. He quickly developed into a reliable presence on the defensive front, earning a reputation for his ability to stop the run and pressure quarterbacks. His most notable achievement came during the 2012 season, when he played a key role in the Ravens’ defense that powered the team to a victory in Super Bowl XLVII over the San Francisco 49ers.

After four productive seasons in Baltimore (2010–2013), Jones signed with the Indianapolis Colts in 2014, where he continued his career despite battling injuries that limited his playing time. He later spent time with the Washington Redskins before stepping away from the league in 2017.

Football ran deep in the Jones family. Arthur was the older brother of UFC champion Jon “Bones” Jones and former NFL defensive end Chandler Jones, making them one of the most notable athletic families in American sports.
