Trump Just Did the Coolest Thing With the Marine Corps Silent Drill Team

One of President Donald Trump’s first moves upon returning to the White House for his second term was to install two large American flags on the North and South Lawns. The project, which Trump personally funded at an estimated cost of $100,000, was described as a symbolic gesture aimed at restoring national pride.

On Wednesday, the Marine Corps Silent Drill Platoon performed on the South Lawn beside one of the new flags during an event for Cabinet members and senior staff. It was impressive to watch, to say the least.

After the performance, President Trump surprised the Marines by inviting them into the Oval Office, telling them, “Come on in here, fellas,” as he led them inside.

Trump presented each Marine with a presidential challenge coin as a token of appreciation for their service. One Marine thanked him for the gesture, to which Trump responded, “It’s my honor,” while shaking his hand and calling them “great people.”

Moments like this are what set Donald Trump apart. Those Marines will never forget being invited into the Oval Office by their Commander-in-Chief, shaking his hand, and receiving a presidential challenge coin. It’s not every day that service members are given that kind of recognition — and it speaks volumes about the respect Trump shows to the military.

Does anyone really believe Kamala Harris would have done the same? Hardly. If she had been in the White House, she would’ve been too busy deflecting blame for her own failures. That’s the difference: Trump goes out of his way to honor the men and women in uniform, while his opponents act like it’s an afterthought.

Of course, the liberal media won’t cover these moments. They’d rather smear him as a “fascist” than admit he has a genuine appreciation for our troops. But time and again, Trump proves where his heart really lies — with the people who serve this country.
