Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce may be planning to marry in Rhode Island next summer, according to a Page Six source.
Although some outlets have reported the couple isn’t rushing down the aisle, the insider says Swift is eager to start a family soon.
A wedding of this size could stir complaints from locals, as seen with Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez’s celebration in Venice, but Rhode Island Governor Dan McKee has already voiced his support for the pair to host their big day in his state.
“Rhode Island has some of the best wedding venues in the world, just saying,” Governor McKee quipped when resharing the couple’s wedding news.
Taylor Swift’s Rhode Island mansion—in Westerly’s exclusive Watch Hill—is in the midst of a $1.7 million renovation, according to a building permit reported by Page Six. The updates include a new 16 × 24‑foot bedroom wing, additional bathrooms, and a modernized kitchen.
Swift first purchased the estate in 2013 for around $17.5 million. The sprawling 8‑bedroom, 10‑bathroom property sits on more than 5 acres, complete with gardens, a pool, and breathtaking waterfront views.
It’s not yet known if Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce will marry at her Rhode Island home or at another venue nearby.
Page Six reported the couple plans to keep their wedding private, inviting only family and close friends.
Swift and Kelce announced their engagement on August 26 in an Instagram post.
