Emotional Tribute By Heart Leaves Crowd In Tears

There are times when a musical group becomes so iconic that people cover their music, but they will never quite reach what they were able to accomplish. That almost wasn’t the case, however, when Heart performed their rendition of ‘Stairway to Heaven’.

Hearts was on hand during the 2012 Kennedy Center Honors to celebrate one of the greatest musical groups of all time, Led Zeppelin. Ann and Nancy Wilson were joined on stage with the son of Zeppelin’s late drummer, John Bonham.

The group was there to perform a tribute to Led Zeppelin, and they did such a good job that even Robert Plant was shedding tears. It moved the audience and the members of the rock band who were in attendance.

At first, Nancy Wilson was on stage with the acoustic guitar introduction. Ann Wilson filled the audience with her vocals, and the song continued to intensify. They followed the song closely, although they added their own touches, including having a full gospel choir behind them.

Something else that really had an impact on the event was the fact that the son of John Bonham was playing guitars for the tribute. It was something that added depth and impacted the Led Zeppelin members, including Jimmy Page, Robert Plant, and John Paul Jones.

This was one of those musical moments that will not be forgotten for a very long time. Robert Plant has often hesitated about having people cover Stairway to Heaven, but he found this version to be touching to his heart.

Undoubtedly, Led Zeppelin has touched history with music, and people for generations will continue to appreciate what they did. This rendition, which was played in their honor, is something that will affect people for generations as well.
