Late that night, the doors of the emergency ward burst open, and a frail boy of about nine stepped inside. He came alone, dressed in worn clothes that hung loosely on his tiny frame. His complexion was pale, his lips shivered, and his hands clutched his stomach in spasms.

— I… it hurts so much… my stomach… — he whispered weakly.

The nurse hesitated, startled that a child had arrived without anyone. She quickly summoned the on-duty physician, and the boy was escorted into the exam room.

The doctor attempted to learn anything at all:

— What’s your name? Where’s your family? Did you fall, or did something strike you?

But the child only shook his head and repeated again:

— My stomach… it hurts badly…

Not a word came about his mother, his father, or his home. He seemed terrified of speaking.

Alarmed by his condition, the medical team ordered urgent tests and an X-ray. When the scan appeared on the monitor, everyone in the room froze 

Inside the child’s intestines, a long metallic shape was visible.

“A nail…” one of the surgeons muttered in disbelief.

The boy was prepared for immediate surgery. The doctors worked with extreme precision, for one mistake could cause fatal bleeding.

At last, when the sharp, rusted nail was extracted into the surgeon’s hands, the team finally exhaled in relief. The boy had survived against all odds.

Yet troubling questions remained: how could a nine-year-old ingest such a thing?

Afterward, a psychologist and a social worker attempted to speak with him. At first, the child kept quiet, staring at the floor. Then, in a shaking whisper, he said:

— Dad told me… I must… if I refuse, something worse will happen…

The staff exchanged horrified glances. Slowly, from his fragmented words, a terrible truth emerged. His father had been forcing him to swallow objects—nails, screws, even rotten food.

He recorded every incident on his phone and uploaded the footage online for money and “likes.”

The boy sobbed, admitting each “task” ended with torment, but he never dared resist.

The hospital was shaken. Authorities were contacted at once. The father was arrested, and the boy was taken into protective care.
