Walz Calls Emergency G*n Control Session
During a press conference Tuesday outside Deerwood Elementary in Eagan, Minnesota, Governor Tim Walz (D) announced he will convene an emergency legislative session on g*n control. He criticized both the number of g*ns and the types of f*re*rms circulating in the U.S.
“The thing that makes America unique in terms of sh**tings is we just have more g*ns and the wrong types of g*ns are on the streets,” Walz told FOX 9.
Bipartisan Support Needed
Walz acknowledged that he will need some Republicans to join Democrats to pass his g*n control package. “If Minnesota lets this moment slide and we determine it’s OK for little ones to not be safe in a school or church environment, then shame on us,” he said.
Omitted Details
Walz did not mention that Wednesday’s a**acker, who ki**ed two children and injured several others, is a transgender individual who changed their name from Robert to Robin at age 17. He also did not reference the sh**ter’s video manifesto, in which the individual expressed h*tred for children and targeted victims specifically because they were un*rmed.
Additionally, Walz did not discuss measures such as arming teachers or increasing school security to prevent similar a**acks.
