Bill Clinton Leaves The Hamptons With Medical Device At Airport

Former President Bill Clinton was seen at a New York airport leaving the Hamptons with a defibrillator among his luggage, according to the Daily Beast. The 79-year-old wore a brown fedora and tropical shirt as he boarded a private plane on Thursday, surrounded by Secret Service agents and airport staff. His wife of 49 years, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, traveled with him.

Photos published by the Daily Mail showed what appeared to be a Propaq MD Air Medical Bag — a device used to monitor heart activity and deliver shocks in case of cardiac arrest for people considered high-risk.

Clinton’s heart problems are well documented. He suffered a heart attack in 2004 that required bypass surgery, then returned to the hospital in 2005 for a collapsed lung linked to that procedure. Over the years, he has had two stents placed and, in 2021, was hospitalized with a urological infection that led to sepsis.

Despite his health challenges, Clinton has remained active. Just this past summer, he promoted his latest political thriller, The First Gentleman, co-written with author James Patterson.

Bill Clinton, born on August 19, 1946, in Hope, Arkansas, served as the 42nd President of the United States from 1993 to 2001. A Rhodes Scholar, he studied at Georgetown University and Oxford before earning his law degree from Yale, where he met Hillary Rodham, whom he married in 1975.

Clinton rose to national prominence as the Governor of Arkansas, serving multiple terms before winning the presidency. His time in office was marked by strong economic growth, welfare reform, and efforts to balance the federal budget. He also signed the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) and played a role in peace negotiations in the Middle East and Northern Ireland.

While his presidency was successful in many policy areas, it was overshadowed by personal scandals, including his impeachment in 1998. He was acquitted by the Senate and completed his second term with high approval ratings.

After leaving office, Clinton founded the Clinton Foundation, focusing on global health, education, and economic development. Despite health challenges in recent years, he has remained active in public life and continues to support charitable and political causes.
