Fallen Astronomer HR Boss Reappears & Something Is Missing

Kristin Cabot, 52, the former head of HR at software company Astronomer, has been seen for the first time since resigning after her viral kiss-cam moment with CEO Andy Byron at a Coldplay concert. Both executives, who are married to other people, stepped down from their roles following the scandal.

According to the Daily Mail, Cabot was spotted looking somber outside her $2.2 million New Hampshire home, tending to her garden without her wedding ring. She appeared without her wedding ring — once visible in past social media posts but missing during the now-infamous concert outing.

Her husband, Andrew Cabot, 60, a wealthy rum executive and descendant of Boston’s elite Cabot family, has not been seen at the property since returning from a business trip overseas.  She and Andrew married sometime after 2020, though exact details are unclear. He has been married twice before. The couple only bought the house earlier this year with a $1.6 million mortgage and had planned major renovations.

Since the home is under lien, the couple may be forced to sell if they move ahead with divorce or separation. Public records show no divorce filings in New Hampshire or Massachusetts, according to the Daily Mail. Both remain responsible for the mortgage, regardless of who lives in the house, which includes high ceilings, a wrap-around porch, a walk-up attic, and a two-car garage. One spouse could also buy the other out or refinance to take over full ownership.

Kristin Cabot joined Astronomer in November 2024 as Chief People Officer, bringing over 20 years of HR experience and a BA in Political Science from Gettysburg College. Her hiring was praised by then-CEO Andy Byron for her leadership and expertise in talent management during a period of rapid company growth. She was previously divorced from Kenneth Thornby, with whom she shares a child. Kristin is still pursuing child support payments from her ex-husband.

Meanwhile, Byron’s wife Megan has retreated to the family’s $2.4 million Maine mansion with relatives by her side, removing her husband’s last name from social media as she considers the future of their marriage.

The scandal has left both couples in the spotlight, with unanswered questions about whether their marriages will survive the fallout.
