A Fox News Host Leads a Prayer on Air: A Moment of Surprise and Inspiration.

Pete Hegseth Leads Prayer on Fox & Friends

In a surprising moment, Pete Hegseth, host of Fox & Friends, recently led a prayer during a segment featuring the Hallow Bible app. This bold move sparked mixed reactions from viewers, with some skeptical and others appreciating the show of faith.

Lightening the Mood

Hegseth, known for his friendly demeanor, began the segment with humor, easing into the prayer. He joked, “We have more ‘Fox & Friends’ coming up, but you know what, this is a transition for transitions if you’ve ever had one,” which made his co-hosts laugh. Rachel Campos-Duffy joined in the lighthearted moment, and Hegseth added, “This is very ‘Fox & Friends,’ so ready your heart.”

A Moment of Prayer

As the 5th Sunday of Lent arrived, Hegseth led the prayer from the Hallow app. He invited his co-hosts and viewers to join in, saying, “We all need it, let’s do it this morning, close your eyes — if you would, bow your head.” With heads bowed in respect, Campos-Duffy and Will Cain joined Hegseth in prayer.

A Prayer for Guidance

Hegseth prayed earnestly, “Jesus, today we begin the holy period of passion tide. In these last two weeks of Lent, help us understand the mystery of your sacrifice and surrender. Make us aware of your love and help us feel your grace.” He concluded by thanking the Hallow app for its partnership during Lent, with Campos-Duffy offering a heartfelt “Amen.”

Faith on Air

This isn’t the first time Fox News hosts have shared their faith on air. In a previous segment with Republican House Speaker Mike Johnson, Kayleigh McEnany expressed her belief that God was guiding him. Co-host Ainsley Earhardt added, “To everyone out there, pray for him as our speaker. Our country really needs guidance from God right now.”

This open expression of faith continues to resonate with many viewers, sparking important conversations about spirituality in the public sphere.
