My grandson and I were walking along the rocky shore, warm waves gently touching our feet, when suddenly we noticed something strange.
A thin, barely visible crack between the rocks, hidden behind thick, dark seaweed. A small cave. Abandoned…😵
Curiosity got the better of us, and we approached. 😨 Just a few steps inside — and a heavy silence enveloped us… deafening, as if the cave itself was listening and waiting.
At the very end, on a wet stone… there was something strange. At first glance, it was unclear what exactly we saw.
We froze. A chill ran down my spine. I couldn’t look away, just stood there holding my grandson’s hand tightly.
My grandson exclaimed happily:
— Look, grandma, grapes are growing here! — and reached his hand that way.
He wanted to touch the discovery, but I stopped him abruptly. And, as it turned out, not without reason!
When we found out what it was… we were terrified at the thought that we had even been there and got so close…

My grandson and I stood by mysterious traces, trying to understand what it was.
At that moment, a slow-moving octopus crawled out from the depths of the cave — a true protector of its offspring with eight long tentacles. Its gaze was attentive and cautious.
Suddenly, I realized — those were… octopus eggs! Delicate, pearly, attached to the wet stone.
We froze in sudden fear. Realizing it had come to guard its eggs, we didn’t approach and carefully stepped back.
Our hearts were pounding, but luckily the animal showed no aggression. We left the cave, filled with respect and relief.
This experience taught us: sometimes it’s better to stay away from unknown and mysterious places, because you never know whose peace you might disturb and what the consequences might be.
