Bride Furious After Guest Takes 7 Containers of Food from Wedding Feast

It’s no shock⁤ that organizing a wedding costs a lot. Actually, the average price for a wedding in 2021 was $28,000, based on the Knot Real Weddings Study.

One of‍ the main things couples plan for is food. You want your⁤ guests to have a great meal on such an important occasion.

But what if ‍someone showed up at⁢ your wedding—after you⁢ spent all that cash and took time to choose the best food—and decided to take ‌home leftovers ⁢in Tupperware?

A woman shared her experience on Reddit about how‍ one guest did exactly that. She⁢ mentioned having a small ceremony with ‌around 25 people, including‍ her dad’s close friend. ⁢A few days before the big day, this friend asked if he‍ could bring his daughter and her husband; the bride said yes.

However, the daughter came alone but made sure to ‌take⁢ home lots of ‍food—10 Tupperware containers!‍ She‌ filled seven with meals and⁣ used three for delicious homemade cookies from the cookie table. Plus, she thought it was okay to grab some beer bottles⁣ and even some⁤ centerpieces!

To ⁣top it off, she gave them just $5 as⁢ a gift! Yes—a‌ five-dollar bill! The bride noted ⁣that this woman isn’t poor at all; she seems‍ to be quite good⁣ at freeloading.

Readers were shocked⁢ by ‍this story and agreed‍ it was totally unacceptable behavior.

“Any⁣ guest who comes to an event where food is served (not counting⁢ potlucks) with any kind of ⁣container or bag should be told to leave immediately,” one person commented.

“I can’t believe it!!! I would have had to confront this ⁢woman about her actions. People like this need to be ⁢stopped,” another added.

Many ‍were puzzled why nobody spoke⁤ up: “That’s terrible behavior! ⁤How could none of your other friends or family say anything?⁢ I‌ don’t think anyone else there deserves praise for not standing up either,” someone wrote.

Others related by‌ sharing their own stories about guests doing similar things at their weddings too.

Have⁤ you ever seen someone bring Tupperware to a wedding? What would you do if you caught someone packing up food at an event like that?
