Ashley Biden Splits from Husband in Divorce B0mbshell — Drops Cutting Instagram Ja.b

Ashley Biden, daughter of former President Joe Biden, has filed for divorce from her husband, plastic surgeon Dr. Howard Krein, after more than 13 years of marriage, court records show.

The 44-year-old submitted the paperwork Monday in the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas, The Post confirmed.

That same day, Biden shared an Instagram Story showing herself walking through a park, flashing a thumbs-up, with Beyoncé’s song Freedom playing in the background, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer, which first reported the filing. She also posted a quote that read:

“New life, new beginnings means new boundaries. New ways of being that won’t look or sound like they did before.”

The reason for Ashley Biden and Dr. Howard Krein’s split has not been revealed, and divorce records in Philadelphia are not public. The two married in June 2012 in Greenville, Delaware, two years after being introduced by her late brother, Beau Biden. Krein proposed in late 2011 during a trip to Big Sur, California, after getting approval from her father.

Their wedding took place at St. Joseph on the Brandywine Roman Catholic Church, where Ashley was baptized, with about 200 guests in attendance. The reception was personally organized by her father, who was vice president at the time.

Krein, 59, is an otolaryngologist and plastic surgeon at Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals in Philadelphia. Before their separation, the couple lived in Philadelphia. They did not have children.

Ashley Biden, born June 8, 1981, in Wilmington, Delaware, is the daughter of President Joe Biden and educator Jill Biden. She grew up in a politically active family and is the half-sister of the late Beau Biden and Hunter Biden. Ashley earned her bachelor’s degree in cultural anthropology from Tulane University and later obtained a master’s in social work from the University of Pennsylvania.

Her career has focused on social justice, community development, and philanthropy. She worked as a social worker and later became executive director of the Delaware Center for Justice, advocating for criminal justice reform. Ashley also founded the Livelihood brand, a socially conscious fashion line supporting community programs.
