Viral Kiss Cam Sparks Scandal
A tech executive duo is under fire after a viral video from a Coldplay concert caught them in an intimate moment. Kristin Cabot, Chief People Officer at Astronomer, and the company’s CEO, Andy Byron, were shown on the stadium’s Kiss Cam during the July 16 Boston show. Their startled reaction immediately raised eyebrows.
When the camera zoomed in, Andy had his arm around Kristin. Coldplay frontman Chris Martin took notice and joked, “Oh look at these two! Either they’re having an affair, or they’re just very shy.” The comment triggered panic. Andy pulled away and reportedly blurted, “F**king hell, it’s me.” Kristin whispered, “This is awkward,” and hid her face.
The Internet Reacts Swiftly
The clip went viral within hours. Online sleuths identified both executives and launched a frenzy of speculation. Social media erupted with theories, jokes, and judgment. One user wrote, “That’s Astronomer CEO Andy Byron AND Kristin Cabot? That board meeting is going to be awkward.” Another asked, “Where did he tell his wife he was going?”
Marital Status Comes Into Question
Soon after, details about their personal lives emerged. Andy Byron is reportedly married to Megan Carrigan Byron. Kristin was previously married to Kenneth Thornby. The pair filed for divorce in 2018, which was finalized in 2022. They share at least one child.
But there’s more. The Daily Mail reports that Kristin later married another CEO—Andrew Cabot, who also serves as COO of Privateer Rum, a distillery that’s been in his family for six generations.
Property Records Add Fuel
Kristin’s legal name—Stanek—appears in property records tied to a $1.8 million home sold earlier this year in Watertown, Massachusetts. Court documents from January list her as married.
Records also show that she and Andrew Cabot share a home in Rye, New Hampshire, which they purchased for $2.2 million in February. Kristin even appeared in family photos during Andrew’s daughter’s 25th birthday party last year.
A Complex Web of Relationships
Andrew Cabot was married twice before Kristin—once in 1993 and again in 2014. He had two children with his first wife, Maud Cabot, who posted photos of Kristin posing with the family in May 2024.
Meanwhile, Megan Byron, Andy’s wife, reacted swiftly to the viral fallout. She first removed “Byron” from her Facebook name, then deleted her social media accounts entirely after they were flooded with comments referencing the video.

Silent but Watched
Neither Kristin nor Andy has issued a public statement. Kristin deleted her LinkedIn and social media profiles. Andy, whose last Facebook activity dates back to 2020, has remained silent as well.
However, Andy’s 2023 statement about Kristin’s executive appointment has resurfaced online:
“Kristin’s exceptional leadership and deep expertise… makes her a perfect fit for Astronomer.”
Now, that quote circulates in a much different context.
Public Opinion Remains Divided
Reactions online range from sarcastic to outraged. Some joked, “This cheating scandal is the gift that keeps on giving… for the lawyers.” Others stood firmly behind Megan, expressing sympathy for what she might be going through.
As the speculation grows, the question lingers—what’s next for the company and its leadership?
