A new poll shows the percentage of Americans who believe Donald Trump’s policies have benefited them — and the findings are surprising

New Poll Shows Many Americans Doubt Trump’s Policies Help Them

A recent poll reveals a striking divide in how Americans view Donald Trump’s policies. Despite his flurry of executive orders since returning to the presidency, fewer than a third believe his actions have benefited them.

Trump Signs Nearly 200 Executive Orders This Year

Right after winning his second term in January, Trump wasted no time. Within hours, he signed 25 executive orders. Since then, he has signed close to 200, according to the Federal Register.

One recent order, signed on July 7, extended reciprocal tariff rates for most countries until August 1 — except China. This move aims to protect American industries but has sparked mixed reactions.

Public Opinion: More Harm Than Good?

However, these policies haven’t won over many Americans. The Associated Press and NORC Center for Public Affairs Research released a poll on July 17 showing that 49% of respondents feel Trump’s policies have done more harm than good.

Only 25% said the policies actually helped them. This sentiment echoes in another poll earlier this month where 52% of Americans disapproved of the president’s job performance.

Even Republicans Show Growing Dissatisfaction

The poll also suggests Trump struggles to maintain support, even among Republicans. One major controversy is his refusal to release Jeffrey Epstein’s “client list,” which the FBI reports say doesn’t exist.

The FBI’s statement says: “No incriminating client list was found. There is no evidence Epstein blackmailed prominent individuals.” Still, many Americans remain skeptical.

Calls for Transparency on Epstein Files Grow Louder

A separate survey by The Economist and YouGov found that 67% of Americans believe the government is hiding evidence related to Epstein. This mistrust feeds conspiracy theories about a possible cover-up.

Elon Musk Joins the Conversation

Tech billionaire Elon Musk added fuel to the fire on Twitter, calling the Epstein situation “a cover-up (obviously).” Musk also pointed out that “not a single Epstein client has been prosecuted,” raising further questions about transparency.
