Tim McGraw and Faith Hill are embracing the European summer while supporting their youngest daughter, Audrey, on tour with singer-songwriter Brandi Carlile. The country power couple, married for 28 years, looked as in love as ever in a photo Tim shared on July 1.
The Photo That Sparked Concern
In the Instagram snapshot, Tim and Faith sit at a cozy outdoor café in Denmark. Faith leans into her husband, smiling in oversized sunglasses. Tim wears a cheerful yellow sweater and a baseball cap—but fans focused on something else: the cane resting in his hand.
Fans Flood Comments with Questions
Concerned followers didn’t hold back.
“Beautiful photo. Why do you have a cane? Are you ok?” one wrote.
Another added, “Need the full story on the cane, my man… tell Audrey to break a leg!”
Health Struggles Behind the Scenes
Tim’s longtime fans know he’s dealt with back and knee problems. In May, he opened up to Bobby Bones, revealing a string of surgeries and setbacks.
“I had back surgery before the tour last year, and it went south early on,” Tim explained. “Compensating for that, my knees gave out three weeks into the tour.”
Despite serious pain, he pushed through the performances.
“I finished the tour with my knees and back completely gone. As soon as I got off, I had surgeries on both knees. Then, while recovering, my back went out again, and I had another back surgery.”
Work on Pause, Recovery Ongoing
His health issues even forced him to step away from a planned Netflix project, where he was cast as a bull rider with—ironically—chronic back issues.
“We had to push that off,” he said. “Some mornings are better than others.”
Recent Shows and What’s Next
Although Tim performed at the Nashville rodeo on May 31, he later canceled his July 21 appearance at the Colorado State Fair and PBR’s “Last Cowboy Standing” event.
His next scheduled show is set for August 2 at the Bristol Motor Speedway, according to his official website.
Still Smiling Through It All
Fans may miss him on stage, but many are simply happy to see Tim and Faith enjoying time together and cheering on their daughter’s rising career.
