People left gobsmacked after White House posts bizarre video in response to NATO chief calling Trump ‘daddy’

A recent video shared by The White House on its social media platforms has been labeled by some viewers as “cringe.”

Donald Trump just returned to the United States after a short trip to Europe, where he attended this year’s NATO summit in the Netherlands.

While overseas, the president also paid a visit to King Willem and Queen Maxima.

However, it appears the visit may have been awkward for the Dutch royals, as the queen was seen seemingly making fun of Trump.

Beyond that moment, the summit itself saw a peculiar exchange between Trump and NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, when Rutte appeared to call Trump “daddy.”

This happened after Trump launched into a heated rant about Israel and Iran, telling reporters that the two countries “don’t know what the f**k they are doing.”

When asked about those remarks at the summit, Trump elaborated, “They’ve had a big fight, like two kids in a schoolyard. You know, they fight like hell. You can’t stop it. Let them fight for about two, three minutes, then it’s easy to stop them.”

Adding his own comment, Rutte said: “And then Daddy has to sometimes use strong language to get it stopped.”

Rutte has since clarified that he did not actually call the president “daddy,” but the White House seems to have embraced the nickname regardless.

On its official social media pages, the White House shared a video montage of Trump’s brief stay in the Netherlands, set to Usher’s 2010 track Hey Daddy (Daddy’s Home).

The unusual video has sparked a wide range of reactions online. Some viewers found it awkward and hard to watch, while others appreciated the playful approach.

One user on Twitter commented, “Ok, that’s weird.” Another agreed, saying, “I refuse to believe this is the real White House account.”

A different user questioned, “What did I just watch?” while someone else speculated that the video must have come from a parody account.

Not everyone was critical, though. One person suggested the creator of the unusual montage deserved a raise, writing, “Absolutely epic! Whoever runs this page deserves a raise.”

“This is the funniest White House ever,” another person wrote, while someone else praised the creativity behind the content: “Whoever is running these accounts/producing content. Kudos.”

So, what are your thoughts on the video?
