Following ca**er surgery, singer Jessie J gave her 14 million Instagram followers an honest health update that included a trigger warning.
Earlier this month, the “Price Tag” singer, who is a proud mother to her two-year-old son, Sky, startled her fans by revealing that she had been diagnosed with early-stage breast cancer.
At the time, the 37-year-old said in a video that she’d been ‘in and out of tests,’ saying: “Ca**er sucks in any form, but I’m holding on to the word ‘early.’”
She also joked: “It’s a very dramatic way to get a boob job.”
Responding to the post, fellow pop star Rita Ora, 34, told Jessie, “You’re literally my favorite person and I’m praying for you, you’ve got this.”

Following her performance at Capital’s Summertime Ball festival, Jessie, who is also renowned for the smash song “Do It Like A Dude,” announced that she will be having surgery.
She now discloses that she had the surgery in a recent Instagram post regarding her health, along with a tonne of pictures and videos shot in the hospital.
Issuing a ‘bl0*d w*rning’ to her followers, Jessie, whose partner is basketball player, Chanan Colman, writes: “This post is some of the honest lows and highs of the last 48 hours.”
“I will always show the good and hard bits of any journey I go through.”
“Grateful to my doctor/surgeon and all the nurses who cared for me and all my family/friends who came to visit. I am home now, to rest and wait for my results.”
She adds: “Still hugging everyone going through something tough right now.”
“We all got this!”
Among the pictures are a selfie of Jessie grinning while in a hospital bed, a cheeky photo of Sky poking his tongue out, and marks made on her chest by medical professionals.
The films are equally endearing; one shows Colman holding Jessie’s hand while giving her a gentle kiss on the cheek and head while she rests in a hospital gown.
Another tape shows Jessie singing into the camera as her spouse sits next to her. She discloses that she has been waiting for her turn in the theatre for six and a half hours at the hospital.
And in a third, particularly emotional, clip, the recovering singer groggily tells Colman, “I was imagining Sky saying, ‘Love you, mummy,’ and I was saying, ‘I love you, I love you,’ back.”
She continues by saying that she is “so sore.”
Following the update, Jessie received a flurry of support. In another footage, she joked that the blood dripping from her breasts is like a “goji berry smoothie.”
JLS star Marvin Humes wrote: “Ah Jess wow… these posts. I know Sky will be keeping you smiling and giving you strength… big love… you’re an absolute warrior,” while TV host Gaby Roslin said: “Sending you strength, energy and so much love, you beautiful soul.”
Over the years, Jessie has been candid about her health issues.
She previously disclosed that as a child, she received a heart problem diagnosis.
She suffered a stroke as a teenager and briefly lost her hearing in 2020 as a result of Meniere’s illness.
Last year, the singer from London was also diagnosed with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).
