After high school, Carina chose to study IT instead of medicine, unlike her sister Jade, who became a doctor and her parents’ favorite. Her choice got her kicked out of the house. Alone and unsupported, Carina worked her way through college and eventually built a successful career, bought a home, and got engaged to a wonderful man named Mark.
Despite the past, she invited her estranged parents to their engagement dinner. When they arrived and saw the house, they were stunned—but not proud. Instead, they demanded to live there, insisting they deserved it for being her parents. Her mother even suggested Jade should move in, too.
