Just Realizing What Tangfastics ‘Key’ Sweet Actually Is

Haribo fans have been left shocked after learning that a popular sweet in the Tangfastics range – long assumed to be a ‘key’ – is something else entirely.

The revelation has sparked debate among long-time consumers, who are now rethinking what they knew about their favorite treats.

It all started when a man took to Reddit to settle a light-hearted but persistent disagreement with his wife.

He shared: “After five years of marriage, we’ve just discovered that my wife and I refer to this particular Haribo sweet as something different to each other. What do you call this Haribo?”

This simple question unleashed a flurry of opinions.

Many were convinced it was shaped like a key, while others argued it was a pacifier, with one commenter even suggesting it looked like a ‘looking glass.’

One Reddit user admitted: “I used to call them keys.”

Another added: “I always thought they were meant to be a fizzy version of the ‘ring’ Haribos.”

Amid divided opinions, Haribo itself stepped in to clear up the confusion once and for all.

According to the company, the disputed sweet is officially meant to resemble a pacifier, not a key.

Some fans took the clarification in stride, while others have remained skeptical.

One commenter said: “It was a key to me, but I know they’re apparently dummies. But they’re clearly not dummies.”

Another echoed the sentiment: “It’s a dummy, but I call it the key.”

While someone else pointed out: “Dummies, it says so on their packaging…”

This isn’t the first time Haribo has caused an identity crisis among its consumers.

Not long ago, another social media uproar occurred when people discovered that the green gummy bear in Haribo’s traditional mix is actually strawberry-flavored, not lime or apple, as many had assumed.

One Twitter user joked: “Calling the police over whether the green Haribo gummy bears are strawberry or apple.”

Another admitted in disbelief: “I was positive they were apple flavored. Man, now I don’t know what to think.”

Although more attentive snackers noted that flavor information is clearly printed on the back of Haribo packets and on its website, the surprise has still managed to catch many off guard.

Whether it’s mistaken identities or unexpected flavors, Haribo continually keeps its fans guessing.
