Mom Finds Missing Child In Moments Using ‘Looking Loudly’ Technique

One of the most frightening things that can happen to a parent is to lose their child in a crowd. It happens so quickly that even the best parent who keeps a close eye on their child can experience the pain.

One mother who experienced the loss of a child had a reaction off the top of her head and it seemed as if it was the perfect thing to do. By just remembering the method and not being afraid to put it into action, she was reunited with her lost daughter within a few minutes.

Krista Piper is a wedding photographer and her viral video on TikTok has been viewed thousands of times. Many parents are praising what she had to say, saying that it is the most incredible advice and a great idea.

It happened when Piper took her daughter and son to a large indoor children’s play area. She was watching the children carefully while they were enjoying themselves but when her attention drifted for just a moment, the most horrible thing happened.

When she put her attention back to her children, her daughter was now missing. Panic set in immediately because there were so many small ‘nooks and crannies’ in the play area.

Immediately, Piper began shouting her little girl’s name, Lily as loud as she could. Her young son was doing the same but she was becoming increasingly terrified because her daughter was nowhere to be found.

The mother recounted in the video: “Right after I started calling her name, a little light bulb went off in my head. I remembered a TikTok I’d seen probably over a year ago.”

Instead of just shouting the daughter’s name, she started shouting a description of the little girl. She said: “I stopped calling out her name. I started yelling ‘Little girl, pink shirt, pink Minnie Mouse shirt.’ I’m sure people thought that I was a little crazy.”

Many at this public facility may not know Lily personally but they do know what a little girl in a Minnie Mouse pink shirt looks like. Within a minute and a half, Lily, her 3-year-old daughter was reunited with her. Piper was very thankful for the other parent’s help in finding the little girl.

The mother admitted that she could have added other descriptions, such as the little girl’s age or hair color but all that was really needed was the pink Minnie Mouse shirt.

She advises: “So if you ever lose your child, or dog, or anything, yell out their description, raise your voice. I probably looked like a crazy person, but it got the job done. I found my kid really fast.”

It is known as the ‘looking loudly’ method and it seems to work just as you would hope it would work.
