When somebody goes on American Idol, they are there to show their talent to the world. It isn’t just the fact that they can sing or dance, however, they have to be able to tell a story as well.

The ability to tell a story has been necessary on American Idol ever since its inception. In more recent years, however, telling a good story may make the difference between you getting by to the next round or going home.

There are some who come will the show, however, and they are there just to entertain. That includes 19-year-old Colby Swift, who was given the boot after his performance, but not in the way that you might think.

One of the judges for American Idol is the famous country music singer, Luke Bryan. When Colby Swift was on the stage performing, he noticed that Swift’s boots had holes in them so he gave him the boots off his feet.

Bryan even asked him to show the camera the holes in his boots, and then asked him what size he wore.

When Swift said that he wore whatever fits, Luke Bryan said: “Well, I’m a 12D, and I’ll solve that little problem.”

He then added: “So Colby, those boots are made for walking to the next round.”

Not everybody can say that they got the boots off the feet of the famous country music singer. Let’s hope the young man does well when competing in the following shows.
