Wheel of Fortune’ Puzzle Turns Heads Over ‘Confusing’ Answer

A Confusing Start

The Wheel of Fortune episode on February 25 opened with a head-scratching Toss-Up round. The category was “Occupation,” but as letters appeared, both contestants and viewers looked puzzled.

Paulomi Dholakia, a contestant from Orlando, Florida, buzzed in and hesitantly guessed,
“Chief Happiness Officer?”

Host Ryan Seacrest confirmed her answer, though even he sounded unsure.
“That is it. Yeah. Correct,” he said with a chuckle. The contestants laughed along with him.

“I wasn’t aware that was a thing either,” Seacrest admitted. “But every company should have one. Don’t you think?”
“I agree,” Dholakia replied with a smile.

Internet Reactions Pour In

The moment quickly went viral. Viewers on Reddit echoed the confusion felt in the studio.

“Paulomi’s read of the first Toss-Up was the right read. Wtf is that?!? Lol,” one user wrote.
“I guessed the words but then I was like nope, can’t be that… and then it was lol,” said another.
“If they are going to say something as an occupation, it should have to be a legit occupation,” a frustrated fan added.

Meet the Contestants

Despite the rocky start, Dholakia showed she came to play. She even shared a quirky talent called “taroapy,” a mix of tarot reading and therapy.
“Can’t wait to spend time with you during the commercial break,” Seacrest joked.
“It’s all about bringing happy tears,” she replied.

She competed against J. Mark Smith, a self-proclaimed “workaholic” from Decaturville, Tennessee, and Celina Alvarado from Gilbert, Arizona, who called herself a first-time trier in many areas of life.

Dholakia Takes the Lead

By the first commercial break, Dholakia had already racked up $10,200. Her streak continued, and by the next break, she held a solid $17,750.
Meanwhile, Alvarado had earned $2,000, and Smith remained scoreless.

A Dramatic Turn

The momentum shifted when Alvarado solved the puzzle “Life’s simple pleasures” in the “Things” category. Using her Wild Card, she jumped into first place with $18,350 and claimed a trip to Costa Rica. Her total winnings soared to $30,350.

Dholakia fought back during the Triple Toss-Up, winning $4,000 with two solved puzzles. Smith finally scored $2,000 with the last one.

Final Results

Despite Dholakia’s comeback, Alvarado’s lead proved unbeatable. Smith finished third with $7,100, and Dholakia ended with an impressive $21,750. But Alvarado advanced to the Bonus Round with $30,350 and a tropical vacation.

Seacrest praised Dholakia, reminding her that her winnings and performance were more than enough.
After all, walking away with over $20,000 isn’t a bad night.
