“Daily Milk Drinking and Heart Health: What New Research Reveals”

It’s common for professionals in the constantly evolving field of nutrition to uncover fresh information about meals that challenges our preconceived notions. Uppsala University in Sweden recently conducted a study that suggests consuming cow’s milk may be harmful to your health.

Though they might not apply to everyone, the results are nonetheless worth considering.

According to the study, which involved over 100,000 women, women who consumed roughly 400 millilitres of milk daily were 5% more likely to develop coronary heart disease. The more milk consumed, the bigger the danger. The risk was higher for women who consumed 600ml or 800ml of milk daily by 14% and 21%, respectively.

The study revealed that the danger was primarily restricted to women, which is interesting. The reason for this is most likely that men and women react differently to lactose. Choosing skimmed or semi-skimmed milk did not reduce the risk, according to the data, because the negative effects of milk were the same regardless of its fat content.

According to the study, consuming yoghurt rather than milk could reduce these risks. Because it contains fermented milk, yoghurt may be better for your heart health in this situation.

According to the study’s author, Professor Karl Michaëlsson, a healthy diet is crucial for preventing heart disease. A higher risk of myocardial infarction and ischaemic heart disease was linked to women who consume more than 300 millilitres of milk daily, he said.

It’s vital to keep in mind that cow’s milk is still a wonderful source of protein and calcium, even though some people may find the results frightening. If you can’t give it up entirely, you might want to consider alternate foods that you can include in your diet. Choosing the right foods to consume is now easier than ever thanks to the increasing variety of milk options available.
