In a recent interview, Martin expressed that the time has come to step away. “Now is the time in my career when I’m the one who’s got to show up,” he said. He’s currently starring in Only Murders in the Building, alongside Martin Short and Selena Gomez.

Martin is content with his role on the show, saying, “Once you get to 75, there’s not a lot left to learn, only more mistakes.” He is focused on staying true to his character, Charles Haden-Savage, and not concerned with character growth.

No Plans for Future Projects
After Only Murders in the Building, Martin doesn’t plan to pursue more acting roles or cameos. He made it clear, “When this television show is done, I’m not going to seek others.”
