CBS criticized for leaving out NFL star’s Trump-inspired celebration from highlights

Some dub it editorial choice, others believe it was a politically motivated decision, but no matter what the truth is, CBS did receive backlash over leaving out the footage of the Trump-inspired celebration by NFL star Brock Bowers.

Namely, following an impressive 23-yard touchdown against the Miami Dolphins, the Raiders tight end celebrated with a dance that was broadcast live on CBS. NFL also posted the footage of Bower’s Trump-inspired dance on their socials.

CBS also posted the clip but excluded the celebration part, which angered many.

“Mark Davis LOVING the Brock Bowers TD” CBS captioned the post.

Fans and followers were quick to comment, with many criticizing CBS for shortening the clip.

“Why did you edit out the Trump dance?” one wrote.

“Cutting out the Trump dance celebration? Wow. This is why CBS is a joke,” a second posted.

“Now upload a video of the celebration dance,” a third commented.

“Why did they edit the clip?” another added.

Not only NFL players but also a number of other sports figures have “performed” the Trump-inspired celebration.

Amid the election campaign a few months ago, president-elect Donald Trump accused CBS of “election interference,” saying they should be taken off the air.

Trump wasn’t happy with the video edit of CBS featuring his opponent Kamala Harris.

“A giant Fake News Scam by CBS & 60 Minutes,” he posted on Truth Social at the time.

“A fake news scam, which is totally illegal.”

Trump’s legal team filed a lawsuit against the television network for misleading millions of Americans, including voters in Texas and his own district, unfairly shaping public perception of Vice President Harris.

“This network has a responsibility to present information accurately and without bias. Altering an interview to change the public’s perception of a candidate is unacceptable and undermines the integrity of our democratic process,” Trump’s lawyers stated in their filing.
