A tragic bus accident on I-20 Westbound near Bovina, Mississippi, early Saturday, claimed seven lives, including an 8-year-old boy and a 16-year-old girl. The bus, carrying 47 passengers, experienced a tire blowout, veered off the road, and overturned.
Six victims died on-site, while one succumbed at the hospital. Over 30 injured were rushed to Merit Health Emergency Room. The bus, operated by Autobuses Regiomontanos, was traveling to Mexico.
Emergency crews, including Vicksburg Fire Department and AMR, responded swiftly. Authorities are investigating the crash, which involved no other vehicles.
