Before guests celebrated, Will Reeve, son of the late actor Christopher Reeve, revealed a heartfelt way to honor his father. His wedding weekend carried more than the usual joy of a celebration. Though most details stayed private, social media glimpses captured the atmosphere. One gesture stood out: Will wore his father’s cufflinks, a personal tribute to the man who inspired him.
The Miami Ceremony
Will and Amanda Dubin tied the knot in Miami on Saturday, January 17, 2026. According to People, the event welcomed several ABC News and Good Morning America colleagues, including Robin Roberts, Lara Spencer, and Gio Benitez.
The outdoor ceremony featured twinkling lights and lush tropical greenery, creating an intimate and elegant setting. Guests shared photos and videos showing music, dancing, and handwritten notes at each seat—a thoughtful touch that reflected the couple’s personal style.
Will had previously shared his plans to honor his late father in a March 2025 interview with People. “I’ll be wearing his cufflinks,” he said. Christopher Reeve, famous for portraying Superman, died in 2004. Will’s mother, Dana Reeve, passed away in 2006. Though absent, both were remembered through deliberate, quiet moments during the wedding.

The Engagement
Will and Amanda announced their engagement on November 8, 2025, sharing the news two days later on Instagram. The post showed Will proposing in a candlelit setting, with the Empire State Building glowing behind them. Their photos captured intimate celebrations with family and friends, red roses, and a cellist playing nearby, creating a romantic and memorable evening.
“Friday was the happiest night of our lives,” Will told People at the time. “We can’t wait to spend forever together.”
Carrying a Legacy Forward
Years before his engagement, Will reflected on his childhood and his father’s legacy in a 2021 Good Morning America article. He recalled wearing out the family VHS of a nature documentary hosted by Christopher, dreaming of seeing whales up close with him. Though he never had that chance—Christopher was paralyzed when Will was under three and passed away when Will was 12—he fulfilled the dream in 2021 while visiting Alaska on Father’s Day. “I felt my dad’s presence beside me,” Will said.
After losing both parents, Will initially tried to live entirely in his father’s shadow. Over time, he realized honoring his father meant embracing his own identity. “Discovering who you are and living that truth is the ultimate form of honor,” he later shared.
Now in his thirties, Will continues to carry forward his parents’ legacy. “The greatest gift I can give my dad is to keep him in my heart while I follow it wherever it leads me,” he said.
