Another Hollywood love story has come to an end as Lorenzo Lamas—the actor who stole hearts in the ‘80s—has filed for divorce yet again, this time from his sixth wife.
Lamas, 67, became a household name thanks to his role as the handsome Lance Cumson in the popular CBS primetime soap Falcon Crest, which ran for nine seasons from 1981 to 1990. Fans also remember him for his motorcycle-riding, bounty-hunting character in Renegade and his run as Hector Ramirez on the long-running soap The Bold and the Beautiful.
But while Lamas found fame on-screen, off-screen he’s been less lucky in love. According to TMZ, the actor filed court papers on July 8 to end his marriage to 40-year-old Kenna Nicole Lamas. The documents reportedly list January 21 as their official date of separation, and Lamas has requested that neither he nor Kenna receive spousal support.
It’s a disappointing twist for the pair, who not long ago seemed head-over-heels for each other. Lorenzo and Kenna met in April 2020 and wasted no time taking things to the next level. By February 2021, the actor was gushing about his then-fiancée in a romantic Facebook post after popping the question in Las Vegas.
“Kenna and I got engaged in Vegas last night. I know I know, what the heck was she thinking?!” he joked at the time. “One thing’s for sure, we both feel like we’ve won the love lottery with each other.”
The Falcon Crest alum couldn’t stop singing her praises, adding, “Since our first embrace, she’s held me captive. She fills my heart with feelings I’ve never felt, dreams I’ve never had, and wishes I’ve never thought of. Kenna Nicole, the love of my life, said she’d take my hand in marriage in order that we spend our lifetime together as one and I couldn’t feel more joy in my heart.”
The pair tied the knot in October 2023, but cracks apparently formed in less than a year. Just days before the date Lamas now lists as their separation, he spoke to Fox News about what he believed kept a relationship strong.
“Communication, communication…I would say forgiveness is a big part of it,” he shared in January. “Also, not putting blame. Because in a relationship, there’s two people, and it takes two people to make it or break it.”
He continued, “If you’re always blaming each other for this and that, you’re just never going to have that peace. So maturity, communication, forgiveness.”
Despite those words of wisdom, it seems even his best efforts couldn’t prevent another heartbreak. This marks the sixth marriage for Lamas—whose previous unions include actresses like Michele Smith and Shauna Sand.
Though his love life has been bumpy, his loyal fanbase still remembers him as the dreamy bad boy who brought so much charisma to the screen. And with decades in Hollywood under his belt, there’s no doubt Lorenzo Lamas will continue to make headlines—even if his search for lasting love keeps going.
